“Here the emphasis is on immediacies, intensities, sensory overload, disorientation, the mêlée or liquefaction of signs and images, the mixing of codes, the unchained or floating signifiers of the postmodern “depthless” consumer culture where art and reality have switched places in an “aesthetic hallucination of the real.” (Featherstone)

“I understand art as innovation, fluid matter without clear boundaries that spills out over all walks of life and all types of human experience. Like water, it takes bits and pieces from different areas and never gives back what it took in the same amount and order. This randomness, apparent chaos, and chance are the sources of its creativity.”

I am a painter and designer based in Berlin. With roots in Poland and a move to Berlin in 2014, my artistic journey is deeply shaped by my life experiences. I hold a MFA in Painting from University of the Arts as well as a BA in Romance Philology from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan.

Influenced by my earlier studies and experience in the design industry, geometry has remained a central aspect of my practice. From the white space to the typography, the sense of a graphic image always finds its way back into my paintings.

Drawing inspiration from personal experiences, music videos, consumerism, social media, and other contemporary elements, I endeavor to unveil a world characterized by perpetual motion and lively interactions among the characters I breathe life into. Removed from their original contexts, these figures pose for me within compositions that delicately balance on the cusp between stability and precariousness.

Light, space, and the horizon converge in my work to evoke a sense of liberation, guiding my subconscious explorations of human existence within a world steeped in Baudrillard’s simulacra. I delve into the digital facets of our being, reimagining them in the tangible realm of physical objects.

My aim is to unearth the essence of objects, using their pictorial representations as springboards for deeper contemplation. Within my work, there exists an acknowledgment of human vulnerability, where the figurative merges with the abstract to convey a notion of being in limbo.

I initiate the painting process by meticulously stretching and priming each canvas myself. My preferred mediums are oil and acrylic on canvas, and in my relentless pursuit of perfection, I view errors as integral to the ultimate accomplishment of each artwork.

My artistic endeavors serve as postmodern critiques of societal constructs, challenging accepted truths and presenting unexpected alternative perspectives. Over the years, I have had the privilege of showcasing my work in numerous solo and group exhibitions, and my pieces have found homes in both public and private collections.
